General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP; ; Pinyin: Zhōnghuá Rénmín Gònghéguó Xīnwén Chūbǎn Zǒngshǔ) is the administrative agency responsible for regulating and distributing news, print and Internet publications in China. This includes granting publication licenses for periodicals and books. It also liaises with other state authorities such as the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), the Publicity Department, the State Council Information Office and Xinhua.
